Hunter Arts Network, organisers of the popular Art Bazaar advises that the event will not go ahead this Sunday 28 November at Lambton Park.
City of Newcastle inspected all sites and cancelled all sporting and other events due to the grounds being water logged from the recent rain event. It was suggested that Art Bazaar also be cancelled and for safety’s sake we have agreed.
“Whilst Sunday could be a finer day than what we’ve been experiencing lately, people’s safety is our first priority” a spokesperson for Hunter Arts Network told The Local.
“Due to the condition of the grounds and the damage which could be caused to the grounds as their sites will not have had the opportunity to dry out. We will provide a further update once we have confirmed if we are able to re-schedule or need to cancel until next year.”
